The girl she has become.
Her eyes were drooping, tired to every bit.
Not the bright smile, I remember.
That laughter, that gift of gab,
Had made a silent exit over years.
She looked lost.
She was just there, sitting next to me.
Talking about things, life, love.
One second,
Her love, she said was her strength
just the other she conflicted her previous self.
She said she has lost her essence, into that abyss, that was love.
She said light was just too dim,
And darkness just too strong,
While her love too deep.
And me,
I had nothing more to offer,
Than,
"And you, the power to choose."
Not the bright smile, I remember.
That laughter, that gift of gab,
Had made a silent exit over years.
She looked lost.
She was just there, sitting next to me.
Talking about things, life, love.
One second,
Her love, she said was her strength
just the other she conflicted her previous self.
She said she has lost her essence, into that abyss, that was love.
She said light was just too dim,
And darkness just too strong,
While her love too deep.
And me,
I had nothing more to offer,
Than,
"And you, the power to choose."
