You came with the knowledge,

That everything on this planet,

Whether good or bad or notorious come to an end,

And, that is the only one guarantee life comes with.

II

You came with the wisdom,

that what we stand for and what we stand against,

will outlive us;

And that will be the only thing that will be remembered,

by the ones who follow,

when we leave here.

III

You showed us how we choose to live and treat others,

From Asia to America to Europe to Africa.

How we constantly fight over the perishable,

A piece of land or sea, 

who's power over it- be it in the Himalayas or the Caucasus mountains;

How we are seized by the ephemeral,

in hopes that we will emerge as victors;

But how often we forget,

that history despite often written by the victors,

will view us as murderers and pillagers, 

who valued a piece of land or sea over humanity
