Plain as we were
You and I,
We whispered love
That platonic love
To noone
But to ourselves
And when we came across
We talked, laughed, lived
And loved, in the silence of our laughter
We could have been
It would have been us
But we never realized
How we were creating for ourselves
Another rebound
That rebound, forced by our love
That love which we continued in silence
In the core of our hearts.
